Electronic signatures are widely recognised for agreements of this kind. Discreetly requires an active signature — typing or drawing your own legal name — rather than a checkbox, which makes the act of consent clear.
Where is the signed form stored?
Securely in your account, and downloadable as a PDF at any time. The private media it relates to is never stored by us.
Is it really free?
Yes. Creating the agreement, inviting the other person, signing it and downloading the signed PDF costs nothing. Identity verification through Stripe Identity is an optional paid add-on if you want each signer's legal name confirmed against a government ID.
Does the other person need an account?
No. They receive a private link, read the agreement, type their full legal name to sign, and that is it. Only the person creating the agreement needs an account.
